John Hughes Jr. 
John was born about 1752 in Virginia.1 John's father was John Hughes Sr. and his mother was Sarah. His paternal grandparents were Francis Hughes Sr. and Christine. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Francis, Aaron, Margaret, Christiana, Clarissa and Eleanor. He was the oldest of the seven children.-
