Ernest Ward Holmes 
Ernest Ward was born on December 11th, 1899 in McLean Co, KY and his baptism took place in Draft Registration. Ernest Ward's father was John Eli Holmes and his mother was Emily 'Emma' J. Higgs. His maternal grandparents were Moody C. Higgs and Nancy Jane Decker. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Lewis Hays, Jacob O., James C., Clyde, Sherman Vick, Mary C. and Fannie Myrtle. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 105 in 2004.General Notes
