Ruth Estelle ( Janie ) was born on September 25th, 1925 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC. Ruth Estelle ( Janie )'s father was Ernest Wilson Holland and her mother was Carrie Viola Foster. Her maternal grandparents were Zenus Dewitt Foster and Sarah Ellen Howard. She had two brothers named Ernest Walter and Henry Dewitt. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Vincent, Joseph and Lela Mae. She died at the age of 62 on January 19th, 1988 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC.-
