Russell was born on July 3rd, 1922 in Granville Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1930. Russell's father was William Leland Goss and his mother was Nevada Talmage Green. His paternal grandparents were William 'Willie' G. Goss and Flora Daisy Roberts. He had two sisters named Billie Frances and Edith L.. He died at the age of 18 on November 30th, 1940 in Tally Ho, Granville Co, NC. He was buried on December 3rd, 1940 in Roberts Chapel Church Cemetery, Granville Co, NC.General Notes
