Sarah Bellis was born on March 8th, 1822 in Mercer Co. KY.1 Sarah Bellis' father was Edward Goodnight and her mother was Sarah "Sally" Dye. Her maternal grandparents were Avery Dye and Sarah "Sally" Puckett. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John D., Avery, Harrison, Edward, William D., Lucinda Elizabeth, Nancy and Martha Jane. She was the third youngest of the nine children.General Notes
