Catharine 'Katie' Irene Goforth 
Catharine 'Katie' Irene was born on June 19th, 1877 in Rutherford Co, NC and her baptism took place in Census 1880. Catharine 'Katie' Irene's father was James Marion Goforth and her mother was Harriet Anna Giles. Her paternal grandparents were George Goforth and Nancy Jane Houser. She had a brother and six sisters, named James Cornelius, Ida Delphinia, Emma Lou, Finnie Atherton, Margaret 'Maggie' Miriam, Mamie Louola and Allona Valerie 'Lona'. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 85 on April 1st, 1963 in Marion, Mcdowell Co, NC. She was buried on April 4th, 1963 in Nebo Cemetery, Nebo, Mcdowell Co, NC.General Notes
