Dickson Givens 
Dickson was born about 1841 in Kentucky. Dickson's father was Nathaniel Karr Givens and his mother was Jane Hopkins "Jennie" Givens. His maternal grandparents were Eleazar Givens and Jane "Jenny" Robertson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas C., James Karr, Usibia "Siba", Martha, Elizabeth Karr and Frances "Fanny" B.. He was the second youngest of the seven children.General Notes
