Richard Giffard 
Richard was born in 1147 in Brimsfield, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1 Richard's father was Elias II Giffard and his mother was Bertha De Clifford. His paternal grandparents were Elias Helias Giffard I and Ala; his maternal grandparents were Richard Fitzpons and Maud Fitzwalter. He had a brother and a sister, named Elias III and Matilda. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 75 in 1222 in Luddesdown, Strood, Kent, England.1 -
