John was born in 1498 in Brewood, Staffordshire, England.1 John's father was Roger Fowke of Gunston Hall and his mother was Cassandra Humfriestone. His paternal grandparents were John Fowke of Gunston and Agnes Newman; his maternal grandparents were William Humfristone and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 49 in 1547.1 -
