Sarah was born in 1814 in (now Davie), Rowan Co., NC, US.1 Sarah's father was Elijah Foster and her mother was Lovey Brickhouse. Her paternal grandparents were Zenas G. Foster and Dinah Taylor. She had a brother named Henry Naylor. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 60 in 1874.-
