Martha Jane was born on April 29th, 1857 in Barren Co., Kentucky, USA. Martha Jane's father was John William Foster and her mother was Martha Ann Allen. Her paternal grandparents were Austin Foster and Lucinda Boyd. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named James "Jim " Austin, George Washington, John, Samuel Thomas, William XXX, Edward Ed, Mat, Sarah, Emma Elizabeth and Lucinda AAA. She had a half-brother named Frank R. She died at the age of 55 on February 20th, 1913 in Barren Co., Kentucky, USA. She was buried in February 1913 in Foster Burying Ground ( Now called Martin -Foster Cemetery ).-
