Benjamin was born in 1796 in Louisa, Louisa, Virginia, USA. Benjamin's father was Lancelot Foster and his mother was SARAH RYAN. His paternal grandparents were Robert Foster and Mary Armstrong. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lancelot, Simon, Richard, William F, Patsy, Nancy and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 40 in November 1836 in Davie, North Carolina, USA.-
