Hugh FitzOsborn

Hugh was born in 1100 in Richard's Castle, Ludlow, Herefordshire, England.¹ Hugh's father was Osbern Fitzrichard and his mother was Nesta verch Gruffudd. His paternal grandparents were Richard FitzScrob and FitzWinmarch; his maternal grandparents were Gruffudd ap Llewellen and Aeldgyth (Swan Neck) of Mercia. He had a brother and a sister, named Simon and Nesta. He was the youngest of the three children. He had three half-brothers named Llywarch, Owain and Walter.
