William FitzOsbern (Guillaume De Crépon ) 
William was born in 1030 in Poitiers, France.1 William's father was Steward of Normandy Osbern de Crepon and his mother was Emma Albreda de Ivry. His paternal grandparents were Herfast de Crepon and Cyrid; his maternal grandparents were Count d'Ivry Ralph d'Ivry and Albreda. He had a sister named Emma. He was the older of the two children. He died as a war casualty, Battle of Cassel, Normandy, at the age of 41 on February 20th, 1071 in Cassel, Normandy. He was buried in Cormeilles Abbey, France.2 1 General Notes
