Flaald was born in 1046 in Dol-De-Bretagne, Ille-Et-Vilaine, France.1   Flaald's father was Seneschal of Dol Alan Dapifor and his mother was <Unknown>. He had two brothers named Alan and Rhiwallon.  He died at the age of 64 in 1110.2
