John Dye

John was born in 1828 in Ralls Co. MO.¹ John's father was Ramey Dye and his mother was Mildred Maxine Grigsby. His paternal grandparents were Avery Dye and Sarah "Sally" Puckett. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Avery, Edward, Reuben, Redman, Rebecca, Charlotte, Dorcas and Rhoda. He was the third oldest of the nine children.
