Jacob Goodnight Dye 
Jacob Goodnight was born on August 2nd, 1823.1 Jacob Goodnight's father was Shippe Allen Dye and his mother was Elizabeth Goodnight. His paternal grandparents were Avery Dye and Sarah "Sally" Puckett. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, John, Henry, Isaac C. and Sarah Bellows. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 75 on October 29th, 1898.1 General Notes
