Ellen Vanita was born on March 29th, 1921.1 Ellen Vanita's father was James Madison Dennison and her mother was Emma Lou Lanier. Her paternal grandparents were Skillet Head Dennison and Mary Ellen Pryor. She had a brother and five sisters, named James Bradley(Jim), Lula Mae, Opal Lee, Lura B, Jennie Odell and Ester.1 -
