Richard was born about 1248 in Mobberley, Bucklow, Cheshire, Eng. .¹ Richard's father was Ralph Lord of Mobberley De Mobberley. His paternal grandparents were John De Mobberley and Mary Aldford. He had three brothers named Hugh, John and William Sheriff of Cheshire. He was the second oldest of the four children. Richard is no longer alive.
