Erastus DWIGHT 
Erastus was born on September 17th, 1756 in Northampton, Hampden Co., Massachusetts.1 Erastus' father was Timothy DWIGHT and his mother was Mary EDWARDS. His maternal grandparents were Jonathan EDWARDS and Sarah PIERPONT. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Timothy, Sereno Edwards, Jonathan Edwards, Theodore, Maurice William, Cecil, Henry Edwin, Nathaniel, Sarah, Mary, Fidelia and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 64 on February 14th, 1821 in Northampton, Hampden Co., Massachusetts.2 General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: Attended Yale. He was mentally incapacitated upon hearing ofhis father's death in 1777 and remained a recluse until his death living his entire life in the house of his great-grandfather, Nathaniel Dwight. He would go to his mother's house for dinner every night after others were done and, after his mother died, did the same at his brother Cecil's house.
