Mary Lucille DOAN 
Mary Lucille was born on March 5th, 1907 in Beech Grove, Marion County, IN. Mary Lucille's father was Virgil Anderson "Virg" DOAN and her mother was Jennie May HICKS. Her maternal grandparents were Allison Monroe "Allen" HICKS and Mary Ann "May" OLIVER. She had four brothers and a sister, named Bruce Ray, Herman Quincy (Sr) , Leroy Virgil, Orvel Eugene and Helen Ruby . She was the oldest of the six children. She died at 5 months old on August 6th, 1907 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN.General Notes

Family story:
One night my grandmother was in bed and she heard three knocks on the head board of the bed, it scared her so badly she could hardly stand. She picked up Lucille and scooted down the steps.. Three days later Lucile passed away. She told me it was a "Sign" or "Omen" that something bad would happen. A baby picture made of Mary Lucile at age 6 months has faded over the years and has developed a "Halo" around her head.
Who knows, maybe she was right.
