John Constable

John was born in 1423 in Halsham, Holderness, East Riding, Yorkshire, England.¹ John's father was Sir John Constable and his mother was Margaret de Umfreville. His paternal grandparents were William Constable and Elizabeth Metham; his maternal grandparents were Thomas de Umfreville and Agnes de Grey. He had a sister named Agnes. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 53 on March 18th, 1476.²
