John Monroe Cockriel 
John Monroe was born on September 11th, 1885 in Melvern, Osage Co, KS and his baptism took place in Census 1920. John Monroe's father was Morgan Cockriel and his mother was Malinda Hutchison. His paternal grandparents were James Cockriel and Lucinda Sirles. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Marshall Eugene, James Alexander, David Morris, Asher Pearl, Lloyd Raymond, Charlotte M., Harriett L., Laudie Maude and Carol L.. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 in 1961 in Raton, Colfax Co, NM.General Notes
