Anne was born on December 5th, 1556 in Burghley House, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England. Anne's father was William Cecil and her mother was Mildred Cooke. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Cecil and Jane Heckington. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Robert, Frances, Elizabeth and Margaret. She had a half-brother named Thomas. She died at the age of 32 in 1588 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.-
