Samuel Lafayette Cary 
Samuel Lafayette was born on December 25th, 1852 in Henderson Co, TN and his baptism took place in Census 1920.1 Samuel Lafayette's father was Samuel Harrison Cary and his mother was Polly. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Cary and Elizabeth Roberts. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Abner Henry Harrison, James Monroe, Benjamin Franklin, John Millard Filmore, William Alfred, Elizabeth J., Sarah M., Charlotte Emarintha, Martha Jane, Larcena, Mary E. Pricola and Moriah Marian. He was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 86 on August 23rd, 1939 in Decatur Co, TN. He was buried in Prospect Cemetery, Decatur Co, TN.1 General Notes
