Shirley Jean was born on December 14th, 1924 in Kentucky. Shirley Jean's father was Marshall Wade COOPER Sr. and her mother was Martha Belle McKINNEY. Her paternal grandparents were Marshall COOPER and Mary Frances BROWNING. She had four brothers and three sisters, named McKinney Francis, Van Larue, Marshall Wade, Joel Tyne, Martha Annette, Mary Sue and Elizabeth Wade. She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
