Katherine Mae was born on April 14th, 1913 in Hopkins Co, KY. Katherine Mae's father was Virgil P. Bowles and her mother was Ila Lea Hardwick. Her paternal grandparents were Jesse Bowles and Caroline D. Rhew. She had a brother and three sisters, named Jessie Pratt, Lula F., Leota and Amy E..
