William 2nd Baron was born in 1367 in Botreaux Castle, Boscastle, Cornwall, England. William 2nd Baron's father was William Botreaux and his mother was Elizabeth D' Aubeny. His paternal grandparents were William DeBotreaux and Isabel Moel. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Ralph, John and Margaret. He was the oldest of the five children.
