Betty, known as Betty, was born on May 30th, 1845 in Culpeper Co., VA.. Betty's father was William Lloyd BROWNING III and her mother was Margaret A. LILLARD. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin LILLARD and Elizabeth BROWNING. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin William, Silas H., Elocia, Annie L. (Or M. ), Lucy Catherine and Elocid Edwina. She was the third oldest of the seven children.-
