Anne Bernard 
Anne was born in 1551 in Merton, Oxfordshire, England and her baptism took place in Abington, Northamptonshire, England.1 Anne's father was Francis I Bernard and her mother was Alice Hazelwood. Her maternal grandparents were John Hazelwood and Alice Gascoigne. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Baldwin, Thomas, Francis, Richard, John, Catherine, Jane, Margaret, Magdalen, Dorothy, Prudence and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the thirteen children.-
