His paternal grandparents were Edward Plantagenet of England III and Countess Phillipa of Hainault; his maternal grandparents were Sir Payne (Paon) De Roet (Of Guienne) and Bonneuil Chenerailles. He had a sister named Joan. He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Philippa, Elizabeth, Katherine and Blanchette. He died at the age of 38 on March 16th, 1409 in St. Catherine, London, Middlesex, England.¹
