His maternal grandparents were Felix Martin Autry and Martha Jane Lemons. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John L., Carl Eugene, Richard Martin, Mildred Lucille, Infant and Anna Pauline. He died at the age of 60 on June 25th, 1983 in Tulia, Swisher Co, TX.
