William was born in 1375 in Chilwell, Nottinghamshire, England.1 William's father was Sir John Babington and his mother was Benedicta Warde. His paternal grandparents were John Babington and Alice; his maternal grandparents were Simon Warde and Maude. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Benedicta. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 80 in 1455 in Chilwell, Nottinghamshire, England.1 -
