Laura Ann was born on July 13th, 1857 in Kentucky.¹ Laura Ann's father was Peter King BRANDENBURG and her mother was Milly E. BUCKLES. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Buckles and Mary Ann GREENWALT. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James Henry, Alexander, Charlie, Peter King, Mary E. and Hallie. She was the oldest of the seven children.
