Famous Mortimore BLUE 
Famous Mortimore was born on June 27th, 1801 in Mason Co., Kentucky.1 Famous Mortimore's father was David BLUE and his mother was Phoebe WALLINGFORD. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Wallingford and Prudence ELLIOT. He had a brother and three sisters, named John Salter, Amy, Mary and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-sisters named Margaret and Martha. He died at the age of 69 on January 20th, 1871 in Warren Co., Illinois.1 General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: From Rockville store ledger: " Famous Blue: From July 7 to Dec 30 he bought a vest pattern and trims, mdse, elastic suspenders, fabric, kid gloves, toweling fabric, skeins of country thread, 2 pr small shoes, silk handkerchief, and a skillet lid. His account of $12.21 ¾ had $3.68 ¾ carroed over on Oct 12, 1838
