Pressley Toler BENNETT 
Pressley Toler was born on May 30th, 1827 in Mason Co., Kentucky.1 Pressley Toler's father was William BENNETT and his mother was Martha MURPHY. His maternal grandparents were James MURPHY and Phoebe WALLINGFORD. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Saulter, David Blue, Calvin Asbury, Benjamin Reeder, Mary Blue, Hannah, Amy and Sarah Nellie. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 58 on July 9th, 1885 in Polk Co., Iowa. He was buried in Jordan Cemetery, Walnut.2 2 General Notes
Farmer in Des Moines, section 11of Polk County, Iowa. As an Infant moved from Mason county to Parke county, Indiana. From there he came to Polk County in the spring of 1848 where he owned 500 acres of land, the most of which is improved, but with some timber. He was a self-made man, starting in life without money, and alone he has built him a home and gained for himself a place that any one might well be proud of:
