James M. was born on February 16th, 1826 in Kentucky.1 James M.'s father was Samuel BECKETT and his mother was Prudence WALLINGFORD. His maternal grandparents were Nicholas WALLINGFORD and Alice HAYES. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Nicholas Warren, John, Daniel Boone, Sanford Carl, Alexander Mark, Alice, Sarah, Mary A., Elizabeth and Sophronia. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.-
