Welcome Martin was born on March 3rd, 1856 in Grayson Co, KY and his baptism took place in Census 1900. Welcome Martin's father was Joseph Ashley and his mother was Harriett Cockriel. His maternal grandparents were James Cockriel and Lucinda Sirles. He had a brother and a sister, named James A. and Josephine. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 62 on June 10th, 1918.General Notes
