Martha Ann APPLEGATE

Martha Ann was born on August 6th, 1834 in Kentucky.¹ Martha Ann's father was Basil Burris APPLEGATE and her mother was Elizabeth Ann BATEMAN. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin APPLEGATE and Hannah PETERS. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Basil Webster, Jerome Bonaparte, Robert Nelson, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sarah Dell and Cynthia Ann. She was the second oldest of the nine children.
