W.V. Anderson, 72, Cherry Street Annex died Wednesday, Sep. 13, 1994 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sep.15 at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Barnett and the Rev. Kenneth Short officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Anderson was born May13, 1922 in Lamar County, a son of Walter Vernon and Susie Reagan Anderson. He was a Baptist and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion at Deport.
Surviving are a son, Cecil Anderson of Paris; a daughter, Annette Newberry of McKinney; two sisters, Lillie Morgan of Glendale and Daisy White of Paris; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Anderson Jr., Jason Anderson, Rodney Brisco, Jesse Gonzales, Paul Bridgers, and Tommy Graum.
