Ulyus A. Anderson, 89, Paris, died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 21, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gifford Long officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. The body will lie at the funeral home from 4-6p.m. Thursday.
He was born Sep. 4, 1908 in Lamar County to Rufus Thomas and Tina Mae Essary Anderson. He married Rebecca Mae Lawler July 24,1937. He was a Methodist.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca; a son, Bill Anderson of Paris; a brother, Roy Anderson of Paris; three sisters, Virginia Ragsdill of Allen, Velma Floyd of Dallas, and Gladys Hadley of Canton; two grandchildren, Janesse and Holly Anderson of Dallas.
