Ira Burl was born on December 24th, 1890 in Boone Co, AR.1   Ira Burl's father was Thomas Jefferson Roberts and his mother was Naomi Frances Rogers.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Beryl Roberts and Leathia Ann Harbor. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Roscoe Spencer, Harris B., Henry Wesley, David Elisha, Infant Son, Harda Thomas, Lilly May, Nora, Ida Malissa, Gracy and Zena Sylvia.  He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.  He died  due to Shot himself at age 84 at the age of 82 on March 16th, 1973 in Amarillo, Potter Co, TX.  He was buried in Woodward, Woodward Co, OK.1
