Henry Wright was born on December 13th, 1844 in NC.  Henry Wright's father was George Goforth and his mother was Nancy Jane Houser.  His maternal grandparents were Henry Houser and Faithy Jones. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John Franklin, Robert B. 'Rainer', James Marion, Preston S., Amanda Harriet Elizabeth, Nancy Jane and Ellen S..  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 67 on December 8th, 1912.  He was buried in Yell Mountain Cemetery, Avery Co, NC.
