Alexander Smith 
Alexander was born in April 1809 in Glanford township, Wentworth county, Ontario, Canada. Alexander's father was Henry Lewis Smith and his mother was Elizabeth VandeCar. His maternal grandparents were Rueloff or Rulof or Roelfe VandeCar and Sarah Reynolds. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Mathias, Silas Chamberlain, Sylvester, Lewis, Phoebe Elizabeth, Catherine, Ann, Elizabeth and Sarah. He died at the age of 69 on February 13th, 1879 in Ancaster township, Wentworth county, Ontario, Canada.General Notes
