Joshua was born in Widecombe in the Moor, Devonshire, England. Joshua's father was Nicholas Norrish and his mother was Susannah Easterbrook. His maternal grandparents were James Easterbrook and Joan Tolchard. He had two brothers and a sister, named Nicholas, George and Elizabeth. He died on April 20th, 1907.General Notes
