Samuel Polk 
Samuel was born in Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina. Samuel's father was Ezekiel Polk and his mother was Marie Wilson. His paternal grandparents were William Polk and Margaret Taylor; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Wilson and Mary Winslow. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, William and Matilda. He died in 1827 in Columbia, Tennessee.1 -
