John Poage 
John was born on December 14th, 1775 in Augusta Co., Virginia.1 John's father was George Poage and his mother was Anne Allen. He had a brother named Thomas Hoge. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 85 on August 17th, 1861 in Ashland, (Greenup Co.) Kentucky.1
