Lewis was born about 1655 in Monmouth Co., New Jersey. Lewis' father was Thomas Morris and his mother was Sarah (Unknown). His paternal grandfather was William Morris. He was an only child. He died in 1694 in Passage Point, (Monmouth Co.), New Jersey.
