Mayor Randal McGavock 
Randal was born in 1766. Randal's father was James McGavock and his mother was Mary Cloyd. His maternal grandparents were David Cloyd Sr and Margaret Campbell. He had a brother named Hugh. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 77 in 1843.General Notes
Randal was educated in Carlisle, PA. He was elected Mayor ofNashville in 1824 and built the Carnton in Williamson Co., TN.
