Thomas Porter was born in January 1897 in Hickman Co., Tennessee. Thomas Porter's father was Thomas Jerome (Tommy) McCord and his mother was Kizzie Frances Bradford. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Kinsey McCord and Nancy Lucretia L. Martin. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Alexander Kinsey, William Columbus (Lum), Amos W., Eddie Sam, Joe Hardy, Archie C., Nancy Ann, Juda Francis, Mattie L., Pearlie M. and Bessie. He died at the age of 75 on October 6th, 1972 in Nashville, (Davidson Co.), Tennessee.-
